As soon as you step into the workshop, the fresh scent of mint fills the air.
Inside, skilled artisans carefully work the sugar mixture using traditional copper cauldrons. For generations, the recipe for Bêtises de Cambrai has been prepared the traditional way, unchanged since 1800.
Thanks to the open workshops, visitors can follow each stage of the production process and better understand this unique know-how. During the visit, Julien – often called the king of Bêtises de Cambrai – shares his passion and introduces this 100% natural sweet.
While mint remains the most iconic flavour, other varieties are also available. In addition, you can discover violet, orange, raspberry and green apple flavours. Personally, mint and apple are my favourites!
